I just finished a baby blanket for new nephew, who will be here in June. My sister just received it at her baby shower this weekend and I think she really liked it.

Pattern: Revolution by Woolly Thoughts
Yarn: 8 skeins of Filatura Zara
Needles: Size 4

I'm not sure I'll take on another blanket on size 4 needles, but I'm happy with this despite now that it's done.

More details and pattern link on the blog-thanks for looking!

You think she really liked it. I think you're crazy! She probably freaking loved it. I know if my sister knit an entire blanket on size 4s, I'd probably have to pay her with my baby. Plus, it's an amazing pattern that can grow with a child. Go ahead and pat yourself on the back, you have officially created an heirloom.

Wow- thanks, everyone! Your comments are totally making my week.

To answer someone's question- the blanket took a little over a month, but I wasn't exclusive to it until the very end when it got to crunch time.

The pattern may look complicated, but it is actually pretty darn easy. You start with a circle in the center and then just add rings around the circle. And it's all garter stitch, so it's pretty good TV knitting.

Thanks again!

Crocheting is like prostitution.  First you do it for love, and then for a few close friends, and then for money.  Maybe that is why they call us Hookers?
