I have just recently been "awarded" a craft space of my own. So I've been fixing it up, straightening up, repairing, trying to find a place for everything.  One of those things I've been working on is this chair DH brought me from somewhere.  It was full of dust, torn, just weird.
I took some fabric and...took off.  I have to say though that I was inspired to do so by the people here.
The "gift".

There must have been a million staples in this thing.  Literally rows of them.  I used a screwdriver and small pliers.

Then to be on the safe side I used the old fabric to cut out new pieces.

In the end, came up with this.

Thank you for looking.

Brilliant on getting your own craft space.  I do my crafting in the sitting room - not sure if it is a sitting room come craft room or craft room come sitting room - I like the idea of the latter  Grin

The chair looks great - nice and bright and more comfy than what it looked like before.  Well done you on a job well done.

When I make a mess something good always comes from it.

I have been sitting on my husband's computer chair from when he was in college.. mind you I am turning 40 this year.. oh he's 42... so this chair is old... and it is not the most comfortable thing in the world and even has two screws on the chair that if you sit just right you can feel them on your butt....

why o why did you share such a great job on your chair?  You are making me want to take mine apart and fix it up!  Maybe this summer I will be brave enough to take on such a task.  I have never done anything like that...  but then it is about time!

Added to the list of things that I have to do this summer Undecided
which is a good thing...

You did an amazing job and congrats on the craft room space.... in my craft room I am using a chair from a folding table set... maybe I should start off small and make a cushion for that chair!

I am collecting quilts, afghans & blankets for those that lost their homes.  Pm me!

Thank you everyone.  I appreciate it.
vintageburlesque, I used to do crafts anywhere but I'd have to put everything back up the second I left them.  What a pain. If I left anything in my sittingroom\livingroom\family room then the whole place was a wreck things being so small and the family just didn't like Mom doing crafting all over the place.lol So I feel really blessed to have my own space now.  It's only 9 sq meters but feels like an auditorium.lol
craftydeb.  I know what you mean.  I don't know if I could have had the courage to do it if it had sentimental value.....this had been in a dusty ole office for years.  It wasn't hard at all in the end.  Just have a good staple gun and have a go at it. (That was great fun.lol)

I am tickled pink that I've finally figured out how to start a post I had wanted to share so bad.
Oh course the after picture isn't true to color.  Lots of baby blues and yellows in there.  Next thing to learn.lol
Thanks again!!
