I got the bright idea to put a tag with my initials on the exterior. Maybe it's been done already, but it's another little mod idea if it hasn't. =)

I used amy butler happy dots fabric in grey, with grey ultrasuede trim, and baby blue cotton sateen lining.

thanks for looking!

That's adorable. I'm am in love with this bag. Was the sateen hard to sew? It looks like it would be a hard fabric to stitch.

Oh man, this is lovely! *swoon*  I love the outer fabric combination.  I love the look of this bag, but after reading all the post with problems, I don't think my crap sewing machine could handle it.  I will have to be content with lusting after the beauties posted here.

LOVE it, Laurel!!!

I think the tag idea is great.  How is it attached, hand sewn?

Thanks, everyone! Such nice comments!

Yup, I just hand sewed the tag on there. If one planned it, one could machine sew it before attaching the pocket - but I figured I would employ "wabi-sabi". ; )

The cotton sateen wasn't hard to sew, but I also interfaced the lining, which ensured that it didn't stretch on me.
