So I have the greatest man on earth.  I was leaving all my makeup and whatnot around:

yucky. So he created, just for me, with his two hands:

I can't find pictures of the floor to ceiling bookshelf, or the three tiered shoe shelving for my closet, but trust me- this man makes some serious custom furniture.  And all I have to do is make a mess in order to reap the benefits? Sigh...And yes, he does this for a living. I am incredibly jealous.
This is his most recent piece:

It's a corner shelf and the tiki heads are cabinets:

And a giant halfpipe he built and painted with his friend:

And I did this one! I found this awesome vinyl tablecloth fabric on sale at Hancock so I recovered our chairs. They were filthy and permanently coated in animal hair.

So pretty! And now they wipe right off!

The pattern repeat is not completely straight, but I think it's too busy to be obvious. I love it so much, and I used it as an excuse to buy a new, more "precise" staple gun. Now I really want to bedazzle it.

Your man is very organized, and even though the tiki shelf is awesome, I love that he cares enough to help you keep your bathroom organized. I desperately need to do something similar after I fix the hole in the ceiling. LOL

Does he do that artwork from images, or does he just come up with that?  Lucky girl.

I have a split personality, because you guys crack me up.  AND The best day I ever had was TODAY!

He comes up with things and then I have to google image them for him...the artist is not technologically inclined, lol.  Like the tikis- he wandered in one night and said "Hey. What do tikis represent? Can you find out for me? Get me a really good picture of a palm tree, too." And walked away.  What can I say, I make a mean inspiration board. It's a symbiotic relationship.

WOW.  I am SO in love with that tiki cabinet.  What a great piece of furniture.  I have done a LOT of internet searching for tiki furniture (particularly shelves) and that really stands out.

It's not that I don't want to swap, it's that I often don't have time.  But feel free to ask (especially if it's one that's not too time consuming).

I love that you're bragging about your husband, that's so sweet.  Grin   He should be happy to have a wife who is so proud. (Maybe I'm mushy about this because it's my anniversary and I think we should all have great mates in our lives).  All of those projects are awesome.  The tikis are too cool.  I love the way your chairs turned out, I've been thinking about recovering mine with a vinyl tablecloth, too, glad to see they can look nice.
