I made a lamp out of a strainer, an old book and some pearls. With great help from a circle punch. It gives a very warm and cozy light...

Whoa!!!  That's incredible!  What gave you the idea to use a strainer?  Also, how do you keep it safe?  (i.e. paper burning)

well... It's not safe... but I only light it when I'm in the room...

I've seen the strainer-thing in a lot of different places... the latest was Mark Montanos big-ass book of crafts (which is a book I really like)
