I'm already getting ideas for presents for next Christmas for my family that I'd like to knit. I think I'm going to start this weekend. Is anyone else getting started soon?

Never too soon to start planning for them, methinks.

But surely there are birthdays between now and then?

My grandmother's (whose present I am starting this weekend) present I am planning for Christmas is this http://cache.lionbrand.com/patterns/60588.html .

It's my first wearable but I think I can do it! I want to give myself lots of time for it.

My mother's bday is August but her present will be an afghan like the one she saw at my grandmothers this weekend and commented how much she liked it.

I have already started lol, but thats only because I bought a bunch of stuff from knitpicks to make socks.  My four best friends at school are each getting a different pattern in different colors.  I started the first pair this weekend, cause I was sick and didn't want to go out with them.

I started back in January Smiley If I don't knit Christmas gifts all throughout the year, then they'd never get finished with all of the birthday, personal, and new baby knitting I also do.

Start as soon as you can because something else always comes up that requires doing  Wink  I'm still working on my birthday knitting for the year, but I'll do some socks or mitts in between to put in with gifts.
