I'd been working on this on & off over the past two months I would say, & just finished it this morning (hence the I-just-woke-up look). It took exactly one skein of Lion Brand Microspun; I literally was left with about 2 inches of yarn after fastening off. No pattern, completely winged, & happy with the outcome.

Really beautiful. I like the look of that stitch you used throughout. This would be a great design for so many things, not just a beret...maybe a baby blanket, or pillow cover.
