I made these small bags this week, just playing around with some fabric I bought.

They are lined with silk - almost like pyjama silk, and both are interfaced to give them better shape, and both close with zips.

The pink one is lined in a lavender silk with bright pink, purple and blue ovals and silver dots, with a small pocket inside.   The pocket at the back is divided in two and closes with two snaps, with the edge of the pocket lined with co-ordinating beads.  the front is felt applique with silver glitter fabric paint around the edges.

The red one has white felt hearts and beads on the front and a big pocket on the back closes with a snap and also has beads on the edge of the pocket.  The lining inside is red with small white hearts, and it also has a small inside pocket.

I still have another pink one and red one to finish, as well as a purple one..Thought and comments welcome!

May I be first to say great bags.  They look so professional  I like the pocket details especially the heart one.

 Shocked :oWOW!WOW!WOW! Shocked Shocked
Those are great...I dont know which one I like better. You did a fab job...was the lining hard to sew with? Man one day Im going to make purses that look like that.

I love you. And not, not in a friendly way, although I think we're great friends. And not in a misplaced affection, puppy-dog way, although I'm sure that's what you'll call it. I love you. Very, very simple, very truly. You are the epitome of everything I have ever looked for in another human being.

Those are absolutely adorable!  Beautiful, beautiful work!  Silk lining!  Was that hard to do?  Congrats!

Thanks for the great feedback!  I'm glad you guys like them!

Silk is lovely..but now always to work with..it slips and slides and distorts and frays...and that's before you even touch it!   Wink Just kidding..silk does slip a little and does tend to make fray-fuzzies, but i found just using a very light interfacing helps a lot, and keeps the look of the silk.  The other bags I'm being brave (stupid?) and trying them without interfacing to see how that works....i'll let you know how that turn out!  Grin

Thanks again!

Those are adorable! I especially like the heart one. The pink one's applique reminds me of Easter eggs Cheesy
