Being with out a job right now, and still living out of boxes ( I just recently move from Savannah GA to Chicago IL),  to keep myself from going insane ans watching way too many Law and Order episode I made this plushie.

Meet Hestia.

Before her time consuming weave.

Each one of her "prickles", where hand sewn one at a time.

Finished Hestia with her full weave. ( took me three days and alot of TV to complete her hair do)

Detail of paw.
Thank you all for the great comments,  sorry if I haven't replied to many of you great comments.
I can't believed that she was also a featured project, I am so tickled by all of this!
I had enter Hestia to the Softies Central 2nd Softies Award, so please vote for her! ^_^

And thank you again

I want one! I love Hedgehogs and this one is especially cute and such a wonderful name to accompany a lovely creature!

How do you get your stitches so neat in the felt? I find that once I stitch felt and turn it right-side out, the stitches always seem to warp and go all uneven on me.

This is one of the cutest things I have ever seen bar none. Smiley !!! Did you make the pattern yourself? We had a mother hedgehog come visting last year and after some coaxing with cat food she blessed us with bringing out her FIVE babies for us all to see and love. It was the greatest experience we have had here in Germany I think. Smiley (we are a tree huggin family)
I would love love love to have a pattern for this if you are willing to share it. I have two little girls that would just go crazy over it. Not to mention making one for myself.
Thank you so much for sharing, it really is wonderful and made my night to see. Smiley
Much Peace,

I meant what I said and I said what I meant, an elephant's faithful 100%. Horton
