Have you thought about putting a small tassle or a big bead at the bottom?
I just love your laterns!  I have some tissue paper... planning... planning... wonder if DH is going to want to do something tonight?  Hmmmm.... hoping I can craft.....

I did make it to the dollar store.. bought everything but the clay... forgot it.  I was way to tired to make them.  So it will have to wait until Monday, my one day off.  I did find some really neat tissue paper, so I bought 3 packs, each one different.  I am going to try and glue the sticks together tonight.. so I do not have to wait on the glue to dry on Monday..

i have a question, where do you buy those tea-lights?
i've never seen those before, i'm from Chile, and speak spanish, so i don't know how to call them either
help please Smiley

about the tea lights,  there is a store here called the Dollar Tree.  I got them there.  I have also seen them in craft stores, they just cost more.  In most stores I would look by the candles section.  These lights are LED which stands for Light Emitting Diodes and the heat is less than that of regular lights.

No, there is not a plug.  They use a small flat battery.  We can get them at the Dollar Tree for 2 for $1.00.
A tea light candle is less than a inch tall, but a real one would be too hot and burn the tissue paper up.

Beautiful!!  I want to make some now haha Smiley  Nice to know you can make awesome things like this for just 8 bucks.

I think that's my favorite thing about browsing the current challenge posts. Cause I get so inspired and get ideas what to grab the next time I am in a dollar store.

I can not wait to make these! I've gotten all the supplies with the exception of the tealights. And I didn't realize you needed clay- but that makes sense. I didn't know you got the tealights at the Dollar Tree- I am going to have to go back there tonight after work. My boyfriend & I are going to make this our first "combined" project. I'm so excited. However, I have a feeling I'll be doing most of it. he's not really the crafty type  Roll Eyes & maybe I'm a little of the controlling type? Hey- at least he wants to try! I thank you so much for this idea 7 the tutorial! I have been itching to make them since I first saw you post it!
