Hello Everyone,

Here is our entry in the Dollar Store Challenge.

Here are our supplies:

From Dollar Kwik:
pack of craft foam sheets
ball of yarn
bag of styrofoam balls
photo frame craft kit

From Dollarama:
2 butterfly seat cushions
pack of small butterflies
pack of large butterflies
pack of ribbon
pink bath cloth

And now introducing Bella Butterfly!

Since our current obsession is making puppets, we decided to have a go at it using dollar store supplies.  Her head, arms and legs used up most of the foam from the chair cushions and the fabric became her beautiful spring dress.  We further embellished her dress with the ribbon.  The pink bath cloth made for perfect skin and the ball of gold yarn became her flowing locks (which just seemed to attract the most delicate little butterflies).  There was just enough felt in the photo kit to finish off her eyes, which are half a styrofoam ball each.  The craft foam made for some kickin yellow sneakers and was also used for the interior of her mouth.  We had to attach a coat hanger from our stash as an arm control rod.

Bella is so excited about the comming spring and even more excited to bask in the sun with her butterfly friends!!!

Very nice! I see a lot of stuffed stuff on here, so it's nice to see it in puppet form. When I  saw the supplies I was wondering what the heck could be done - I wasn't expecting that! The bath cloth did work nicely as skin.
