I'm just starting to reacquaint myself with my sewing machine, with some success! Last night I dug out some of my hoard of fabric and whipped together this yoga mat bag. I'm *really* pleased with the result. I didn't use a pattern, and I'd do it a little differently next time, mainly I'd make it a couple inches taller so the drawstring closes more tightly, and a touch wider too - the mat goes in nicely, but I sorta have to turn it inside out to get the mat out.

Thanks to CMFoster for the recent inspiration ( https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=237739.0 ) especially for the pocket, and the close-up of the boxed corners, which I used because I was not confident I could do a round bottom.

Here are some pics of the finished product....

Get outa my head!  I was just thinking about making a yoga mat carrier!  I love the mix of patterns and colors on yours - great idea!  And the boxed corners - nice.  Good job!

There must be something in the air, because I'm making one tonight in preparation for my yoga class tomorrow! That flower fabric is really cute, and I like that you found a complimentary fabric in a different pattern. Great job!
