It looks great! and I really love the idea of slowly whittling down your stash...making something that evolves over time, I love it!

I am very inspired...I occasionally rummage around in my scraps bag trying to find ones that will all go together, forlornly lamenting the waste of good wool. But I never try to knit a blanket because I only have a small amount of that one I really like and too much of that yucky brown stuff I bought when I was 18.

Now I'm just going to start knitting those squares and worry about it later!

This is fantastic!
I've knitted 9 small tester squares that I didn't know what to do with.
I might start a 6 year project!
Well done.  Grin

Yes that's what I did, I wanted to use everything even the colours or materials I didn't like and then they seemed to work really well with all the other colours...
I knitted loads of squares before starting to put them together.
At the moment it's 107cm (42inch) by 145cm (57inch) the edges will probably add another 10cm on each end...

This is great! I love it.

I have 2 similar projects going for about as long. Whenever I have half a skein of something left, I make a square for one afghan. If I have less than half left, I use it in the other one.

So far, I've just got a couple of bags filled with squares! But someday....
