thank you for sharing that, lamina.  i'm actually taking my bun to the vet for his first check-up today, so i'll ask what her opinion is.  my rabbit is a french angora as well -- i think maybe there is a difference in the breeds?  i'm really not sure.  but, he molts very regularly as far as i can tell, and his fur just starts... falling out.  it mats if i don't pull it out.  i suppose i could cut it, though.  he kind of gets a halo around him of hair that's falling out, with the guard hairs and new hairs underneath.  also, his face and feet have short hairs, so i leave them alone (especially because i don't think he'd let me touch them!  Cheesy)

definitely something that warrants more research on my part!

This IS interesting. My first bunnies and the ones I learned the most on were the german giants.
