ok so it's not OFFICIALLY FINISHED. basically it is too small still and needs to be shaped more towards the front, but i am way too excited about it not to post it.

this is a test under-bust corset made from duct tape, cut up plastic brownie container for boning, and some saran wrap. my eventual goal is to make myself a white one for comic con for my fetish nurse outfit. but before i wasted $15 worth of white duct tape i figured i should make a practice one out of the cheap silver kind. this is what i have after taping and cutting and taping and shaping and taping and cutting and taping. Smiley it still needs more cutting and shaping and taping too. WHOO for not actually measuring or planning anything!

too small Sad and laced with two shoelaces tied together :p i couldn't find anything else at the moment.

looks neat from the back though.

ZOMG BRA (pretend its a bathing suit top) sorry if it offends.

Personal swap maybe yes please? PM me! i like making new friends. Smiley

Hey that looks great!  I imagine you could use this one as a pattern for your good one, that is what I would do, that has given me a fantastic idea on how to fit myself for one without all that complicated math and stuff.  Fantastic idea.

Woo!  I love corsets, especially when they are made out of unique material.  Smiley  Good job.

I think it's way neato, and I personally like the industrial look of the silver duct tape (Oooo, with black and pink laces!) but is it lined with fabric? Or are you going to wear it over something? I could just imagine it being stuck to my sweaty flab.  Tongue

That is supreme awesomeness. The coolest thing I ever made out of duct tape was a wallet. -_- Your corset is way, way cooler. Smiley

In the Anticraft, they have a duct tape corset project that was neat - i don't remember the instructions exactly, but i do remember they suggested to put a tight tank top on and build the duct tape on top of it (so i guess you'd need help from a friend). this might help with the stickiness? i don't really know how you could incorporate the boning if you did it that way though... i can't remember if their's had boning or not.
i think maybe your design is more like a true corset.

actually my design is more like a really lazy giant duct tape belt-thing. i wrapped myself with the saran wrap, cut it and taped over it. it made it so one side was duct tape while the other wasnt sticky. i put the boning on the saran wrap side, and taped over that to make one big sheet of duct tape fabric then sorta cut and retaped till i like it. like i said, i still need to do more, but the saran wrap was cheeper than a shirt and good for making basic patterns from.

Your corset looks great however if i could offer some suggestions, first instead of making it in the standard rectangle shape(im a duct tape clothes maker too) and duct tape can be quite stiff. I suggest making it in more of a hour glass shape for a more femine look. and always measure for your final piece Smiley i hope the costume goes well!
