i turned 20 on March 31 (YAY) and on the 29th had a party to celebrate the occasion. it was a bbq at the beach, and not surprisingly i did all the cooking. it's ok though cause i like cooking and people brought a bunch of other food too, so basically all i really did was make the cake beforehand and cook up the burgers, hot dogs, and can of spam once we got there.

ANYWAY, i wanted a kitty litter cake for my 20th birthday. i REALLY wanted it. so i took it upon myself to make one, which was really good because the friend who was SUPPOSED to get me a cake got sick and couldn't. so here it is in all it's sick, sick glory.

i actually added powdered sugar to the nilla wafer mix, which made it look awesome, but made it a little dry on top. though the cakes turned out really good and really moist...mmm, cake.

BLOODY POOPS. sick kitty, aws. Sad

i actually couldn't find a cheap enough cat litter box, so i just got this big pan and figured i could cook the cake right in it. unfortunately it was too big for my oven. oops. so i just threw the parchment paper in like that to make it look like a  box liner. eh, i still liked how it came out.

That's incredibly creative. Admittedly gross. But not enough to stop me from eating that thing up.

You did yours different than I do mine. I go for realism, because I'm a cat owner and a sick pup. Smiley
I use spice cake and white cake, bake 'em, crumble them up, mix it together with a box of made instant pudding (vanilla), then I crush my cookies (I like the blonde oreos, but nillas work great too) and put a handfull into a separate baggie and dye those chunks blue with food color, then I mix the cookies all together for the top of the cake. add the tootsie poops and I'm done!

This was what I could always be counted on to bring to office pot lucks. People were skeptics at first, because it was served with a poopie scoop, and out of a litter box, but I had some strange coworkers would would ask others to save a turd for them. Weirdos. Smiley

I still think it's adorable. I love to see how other people do recipes that I use. Smiley

That is absolutely disgusting... and I want one for myself right now.  That is awesome.  I do believe I am now inspired to try a gross cake of my own.
