i'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, since i scarcely navigate out of the "completed projects" board, but...

i just happened upon this picture, and fell in love with the hat instantly. i'd love to give it a shot, but my finding the picture was entirely by chance and i don't know if there are any others that show more detail, or how to ask the girl where she got it, etc. any of you want to have your hand at coming up with a pattern? eh, eh? Wink

The bill looks like crochet to me, and I could more easily imagine the body being done in crochet than in knit, although a closer look would certainly help.

aw, i certainly hope not. i learned crochet first but never learned more than the simple chain stitch. still working on getting additional images. Roll Eyes

I'm sorry, but I agree with Lothruin.  The hat is crocheted.  Maybe posting on that forum would lead you to where it came from.  It is a great looking hat.
