In my ongoing attempt to craft every gift this year, my most recent challenge was to craft for the owner of the company I work for.  (Small family based business).  He is a Birder, and given that I am new to crafting, I am rather proud of what I came up with!

It says, "Every road tree and field... is a treasure hunt to discover a bird"
I made sure to only download pics of birds found in Ontario, and I put them on shrinky dink!  I would have to say, though, that his favorite part of the gift was the paper I wrapped it in... I folded in a list of the "20 signs that you know you're a birder when..." including, "you know you're a birder when... your spouse says, "it's me or the birds... and you have to think about it"   "... when every family vacation is planned about how many lifers are there"  "... someone yells "DUCK" and you look up and say "Where?!?!"  Or  "... when you hear that a bird flew into the engine of a plane and brought it down... and you feel sorry for the poor bird!"

What a fun gift!  I think he really appreciated the thought I put into it! Thanks for looking!

Thanks guys!  I actually bought the paper and the ribbon at the dollar store!  The paper was in a pkg of scrapbooking paper, and I doubled it up to make it, a) double sided and b) stronger!  All I gotta say is... yay dollar store!  Smiley

I even found shrinky dink there last week!!  Not for printers, but half a sheet with some pics on for kids to color!  I bought about 10 for prezzie additions for upcoming b-days!
