I claim missmuffcake for comfy sleep boxers/shorts.  This is my tenth claim, seven received.  I live in Michigan USA, I am not a vegetarian, I'm a non-smoker, and I am allergic to cats and to aloe vera.  Plus I am a crafting fiend, and love only natural fibers.

Crafts -color and style ideas on my wist

coin purse

handmade candles with natural scent

apron for my collection - your creative ideas will rock!
garter belt  (waist is 98 cm)

beaded or crocheted bottle cover for wine bottle

key leash for purse (purple, black, cream purses each need key leashes) -any durable material would be great

envelope bag

pencil/pen case

sugar or salt exfoliating scrub (just make sure not to have aloe vera, please)

embroidery tote like this lovely one from aietsuko but with a removable pin cushion -

water bottle holder

hot/cold pack

beaded or crocheted headpiece

handmade soaps

2 yds tie-dyed cotton or linen fabric (I am a big person so one yard wouldn't cover anything)

beach towel for lounging on at lake or poolside

incense holders for the long, skinny type of incense

handmade incense

serving tray for tea

silverware roll with matching napkin, for taking lunch to work

dressertop storage tray for 12 pairs of eyeglasses (lined with felt or something so the glasses don't slide around) - bedroom has sky blue walls with jewel colors for accent

set of table napkins (dining room is hot pink)

dishcloths, crafted

decorated toe separators for pedicure - I read that Beyonce had a set of these.

large bag appropriate to take to Renaissance Festival and to keep lots of stuff in like water bottle, etc.

camera case for small digital camera, any craft style would be great.

Craft supplies
embroidery floss assortment, esp. blues
floss organizer case
vintage iron-on transfers for embroidery on household linens, or stamped linens for     embroidery - not cross-stitch, cutwork, or animal please
marker pens for decorating on fabric
sharpies in colors other than black
bias tape, single or double-fold
steam-a-seam or other fusible web
any knitting book by Meg Swansen except "Sweaters from Camp", your pre-loved copy is also appreciated

I joined the Fabric Fast and pledged to buy no new yardage until July 1, 2008.

2008 Fabric Purchased: 56 yards

Fabric Sewn: 93 yards

Fabric Remaining: An Awful Lot

I claim Therisa for some homemade scrubs.
This is my second claim, I get three.

About me: I am 28 and I'm in MI, USA, finally settled after 4 moves in less than 2 years! I'm currently running around like a crazy person, teaching English at a multicultural charter school, planning my wedding reception, trying to control my baby fever, and reading lots of books. I love chocolate, the ocean and the beach, books, live music, thrifting, vintage, shiny things, and soft things. Anyone who adds local ephemera, cool postage, or a local postcard to their package gets fun stuff back from me! More info in my blog - see my signature  Smiley

Crafted stuff:
- HUGE AND UNREASONABLE WISH! One of the teachers at my school has just learned that her cancer, which had been in remission for 2 years, has spread and it is most likely terminal. I would love to give her a prayer shawl, but my knitting skills are so amateur! I know there are people out there who whip up knits in a hot minute, so maybe one of you would be willing!
- a fascinator in ivory to wear for my wedding (something I can attach to a birdcage veil, it can also incorporate a tiny bit of pale pink if you feel so inclined, as there is a tad of pink on my train)
- a pair of felt baby shoes for the little boy my BIL just had! He'll be almost 6 mos. when I meet him. Something funky for decorations like little guitars would rock!
- a pair of felt baby shoes in pink and grass green for my cousin's new baby to be thank you dianamariemtv!
- a fun skirt or dress for the spring... see my wists/blog or PM me
- a jumper! I love some of the jumpers I've seen around craftster... these are all fab!
http://www.flickr.com/photos/24966147@N03/2377086294/in/pool-wardrobe_remix http://www.flickr.com/photos/jessicarolland/411721501/ and
PM me for sizing please!
- A necklace tree (I love all of the mini dress forms and stylized branches I've seen for hanging necklaces and would love one for my dresser!)
- An embellished scoop or low v-neck tee in ladies size medium with flourishes and swirls, or a cool phrase like anything inspired by my wists (lots of tees on it!)
- An apron, as I'm starting a fun collection. I have a few to inspire you on my wist, just please make sure it is machine washable.
NEW! Fabric headbands like these http://www.flickr.com/photos/trinabrielle/731748046/
NEW! An anklet, maybe something fun and beaded or a little bit jingly

- I am desperately hunting for any fabric in purple/yellow prints (think Amy Butlerish, Freshcut, floral styles, flourishes, any of that mock retro that you see everywhere now!)
- ribbon: yellow and purple solids or patterns, or any other fun patterend ribbon for altered art
- ink pads (Im in love with Tsukinek Dew Drops ink right now, but I have it in gold, silver, copper, and platinum)
- any issues of Crap Hound! http://www.boingboing.net/2005/07/24/crap-hound-seminal-c.html
- A deckle, used, handmade, whatever, I'm in need of a new one! Thank you dianamariemtv!
- I love rubber stamps, especially travel, victorian, zetti, nature themes or fun unusual stuff. Also any stamps for backgrounds, feathers, clocks, buildings, flourishes, swirls, trees, florals, checks, patterns...
- Anything from or in the style of altered art supplies sold on http://www.artchixstudio.com/,  or http://www.skybluepink.com/ etc. I love bits and bobs, ephemera, all kinds of junk and things that I can turn into something artsy!
NEW! Scrapbooking embellishments in wedding or travel themes
NEW! Any old illustrated books (children's books, cookbooks, medical books, encyclopedias, books in different languages)

- Whatever craft you have mastered is cool by me, surprise me! Also, I'd love anything inspired by anything I've wisted! Feel free to check my blog for ideas, sizing info, and my tastes.

for a whole lotta reasons, I'm claiming Banga for the prayer shawl.

This is my 3rd claim, 1 received, 1 still in transit (i think), and I"m in wisconsin.

wish list (really big wishes in bold red)!

a satchel bag like this http://knitty.com/ISSUEsummer05/PATTsatchel.html  (bright colors, use up all your felting colors?)

this felted backgammon board (or something similar)  http://www.diynetwork.com/diy/na_knitting/article/0,2025,DIY_14141_5311864,00.html

i love this felted bag - http://www.talklikeapirate.com/knitlikeapirate.html

the felted monster slippers in the SNB book?

a flamenco skirt like this https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=3905.msg29436#msg29436

*** NEW *** a messenger style bag - big enough to hold my projects and all my normal purse stuff?  maybe like one of the necktie bags, or one out of felted sweaters?

can anyone figure out how to make a shrug jacket like this?  I LOVE this jacket, but this is the only picture I have of it

another big wish - the pants from Burda Pattern number 8316 - they're a pair of pants that I love - view A (long, not crops) in the smallest size (and we can talk about sizing) (I can provide pattern and fabric, I just need someone who's a better sewer than I to actually make 'em)

this skirt - anyone think they can find a pattern and make one?  it doesn't need to be so long... mid-calf would be perfect

If anyone loves to sew, I love this skirt!  would love a soft drapey sort of fabric

a shirt like this, but long enough to tuck in - PM for sizing, please

Amy Butler Weekender bag - i'm actually going away for a weekend, and this would be a great bag to pack my stuff in!

a small, simple stained glass window in the style often found at the flea market, along these lines:  http://www.robomargo.com/Dscn1137.jpg

*** NEW *** if we have any potters - a bowl or two, or cups?

a yarn cozy like this?  https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=21691.msg176577#msg176577 <-- AsphaltQueen, you are a sweetheart!

stained glass pendant or bracelet, especially if it was dragonfly or butterfly or iris

some sort of artwork for my bedroom?  it's all in oceany type colors, could be art, a collage, a quilted wall hanging...

*** NEW *** embellished / stencilled hoodie - dragonflies, irises?  adult size medium (i like them big and comfy, and preferably pull over, not zipped)

hand-spun yarn

Noro Kureyon - if you have any leftovers in your stash, i'm trying to collect enough to make lizard ridge - i'm about halfway there!

*** NEW *** hand painted yarn - if you love to hand paint yarn, and have bare DK weight, i could really use 880 yards (generally 2 skeins?) in some blues/greens hand painted something?  i can dye the yarn, but i haven't gotten up the courage to try to do with the paint brush yet!

crafting supplies:
  • NON-Koolaid dyes for bare yarn
  • hairpin lace loom - as long as it has moron-proof instructions, please
  • chunky weight wool - it's not like thick n quick, and it's not  like regular wool - it's somewhere in between, with a gauge of about 3-4 st. / 1 inch on about #8-10 needles...  anyway, in white, dark blue, forest green, deep purple, chocolate brown, something like that?

Knitting and crocheting books - if one of these is just taking up space, I'd love to get a copy:
  • Twinkle's Big City Knits: 31 Chunky-Chic Designs
  • *** NEW *** Knitting Circles Around Socks: Knit Two at a Time on Circular Needles
  • *** NEW ***   Favorite Socks: 25 Timeless Designs from Interweave

Whatever you're really good at - my wist, and my list, are a good indication of the sort of things I like - if there's something you're really good at, and you think I might like it, feel free to plan a surprise - truly, when people make things in friendship, they're received that way, too
something inspired by my wist  http://www.wists.com/Dulcinea

kandy kakes!!  Now that I have a decent supply of devil dogs, I think i need more chocolate kandy kakes (they don't sell them in wisconsin)! (if you don't know what they are, you probably can't get them by you)  and thanks to everyone who sent me devil dogs!!

*** NEW *** If outside the USA - coffees/sweets from your neck of the woods

and if i stall out the swap, someone yell at me, and i'll add more stuff.

... right... about me.  I'm the REALLY old lady in the crowd (somehow, those AARP mailings aren't quite so funny anymore!), the one peering over the bifocals.  I have 1 teenager at home, and my day job is a computer programmer.  I have no allergies except MRI dye and a couple of antibiotics,  no issues with animal products, would prefer to avoid religion/religious articles and politics at all costs.... my favorite colors are the jewel tones, think ruby, sapphire, emerald... i don't do terribly well with pastels.  We live in an apartment, where space is always at a premium... so small things that sit on tables and shelves and don't do anything except collect dust aren't a great thing here.

Thanks in advance to anyone who chooses me

I NEEEEED to claim umbrolly...for apron (retro/thrifted, not made by me), fabric, felting wool, rubber stamps, cookie cutters, etc.
USPS website says 1 of my 3 packages has been delivered and one is awaiting pick-up after failed delivery attempt, so even though I haven't received word from those people, I'm taking the liberty of claiming. Because, like I said, I NEEEEED to claim umbrolly! I have so much stuff from her list and I desperately need to destash!

This is my 5th claim, with 1 confirmed received, 1 unconfirmed-received, 1 waiting to be picked up at the recipient's post office, and 1 still in transit-limbo.

Me: I'm in the celebrated armpit of California (San Joaquin Valley), working on moving to someplace greener and less hot. I have an elderly dog-baby who is the joy of my life. My wists are not an actual wishlist; theyre to provide some insight into my interests in the material world.  Because I am a Friend of Craftster, my profile there has lots of pertinent details, too. I like reusing and recycling, and anything in this list can be used, esp the more expensive stuff. I am vegetarian, left-handed, leftist, non-pierced, and am sensitive to smoke. Mildly allergic to watermelons, too.  Smiley

Crafts, in no particular order:
- small felted soap

- a bumper-sticker type sticker of your design that says My genes are out of the pool

- tie-dyed or batiked sheet set for my full-sized futon (regular bed-sheets are fine, and again Im fine with 2nd-hand sources)

- a calorimetry that isnt a pink-purple color combo, because I already have one like that, as you see-

- utensil roll: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=224805.0 thank you quilted!

- Miscellaneous cloth/reusable items to take the place of disposable stuff (I just got a batch of cloth menstrual pads in a personal swap so I'm set on those for a while! And I've determined that nothing I own needs a "cozy") -thank you MommyTheMaid for dishcloths and cloth napkins! I'll happily take other things if someone wants to claim me for this.

- Hippyish recon clothing (patched-together kind of stuff), medium size. Examples aplenty in my wists (most are toward the end)

- Any clothing inspired by my wists, actually.

- tip-in pages - I dont have the journal yet that people are using in the Tip-in Swap, but if you send me a page Ill send you one back in the future. (:

- your ATCs - either as an extra if it was an easy one, or for the actual claim...however many you think is fair...

- Sandals made from tire tread, Im womens U.S. size 7.5-8

- A snood

- a basket for my newly found bicyclekitschy but not cutesy

- Earth-friendly little goodies, like things made from hemp, essential oils, beeswax candle, organic homemade exfoliating bath products, herbal tea,...

- wrap skirt ala: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=237248.msg2601783#msg2601783

- Crocheted dish-scrubber made from used plastic bags...Or a scrubber fishie like the one in last month's  gallery! Any colors are fine. thanks, pawnshoppromises for this surprise!

- A lightweight, washable coat, crocheted/knit poncho, or shirt for my small cocker spaniel. It can be as girly as you like, and any color. If it doesn't fit her, I can pass it on to the animal rescue groups I work with for other deserving dogs.

- a cloche hat in a dark color thank you pawnshoppromises!

- biggest wish: a cooling neck-wrap -- with the little crystals inside that expand into gel when you soak it in water. Heres an example: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=9724381 thank you, arwena! I'll gladly take another one for my family, though, if you want to claim me for it.

- Homemade berry jam/preserves! yumyumyum.

- No-grain treats for my doggie-girl (she has grain allergies but that doesn't affect her appetite!). She's very carnivorous, even if I'm not. My dog and I thank quilted for what was apparently a very delicious treat! (I didnt try it, but my dog loved it!)

- Baked goods for me! I love them all. Only if you're in the U.S., though, since they'd need to arrive within a couple days of being baked, presumably.

- anything you can make that features a good rendition of Heen, the dog from Howl's Moving Castle --  I adore that dog! The eyes and the feet are the most important details to get in there (he has these weird chicken-feet).

- anything you can make that features Speak, The Tick's dog (erm, capybara, actually)! http://www.geocities.com/Hollywood/Heights/5139/Tick/speak.html

- Grossly unreasonable wish: a top like this -- http://kpixie.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=5399

- Stickers, fabric, paper, embellishments--ANY kind of craft supplies--that have a retro/vintage tiki/tropical/hawaiian/british-colonial/bamboo look.

- Stickers, fabric, paper, ephemera, stamps, embellishments--ANY kind of craft supplies--that feature meercats, animals convalescing-but-overcoming, California history, turtles/tortoises, feminism, historical women who kick ass, absurdity in otherwise serious/dignified moments, archetypal characters/symbols, wombats, capybaras...I'm just in a capybara mood at the moment!   And I would be so shocked if there actually were capybara or wombat craft products out there.

- a very dense foam for mounting tiny rubber stamps thank you Therisa!

- I dont know what theyre called, but the little devices that can record short sound-bites to be replayed when a greeting card is opened. Know what Im talking about? Either greeting cards that have those devices, or the devices by themselves. **DCWV is now marketing some just for scrapbooking, thank goodness! I dont know where to buy them, though!

- Metallic or other abnormal embroidery thread or filigree

Books about Tasha Tudor. Books about book-making, creative writing, journaling or journal-making, scrap-papercraft, altered imagery, artists books/journals, and/or the therapeutic use of any of these. Books about becoming less of a consumer and more of a DIYer, affordably.  Books about things we can make and do that are therapeutic to the soul and spirit (I <3 SARK). -  Your guide to subversive/guerrilla crafting, or someone elses that you have.

- Solid storage for 12x12 scrapbook paper

- your easy-but-delicious vegan recipes, or any recipes for making vegetables taste like they aren't, um, vegetables (i.e., chocolate zucchini cake). Yes, I'm a vegetarian who hates vegetables. thank you quilted and MommyTheMaid! I need to give all of these recipes a try before I ask for more. (:
- Any kind of tea by Traditional Medicinals Thanks again, MommyTheMaid!
- a fortune-teller fish Ive seen a few pictures on Craftster but still cant figure out what, exactly, they are! I must be the only kid who didnt know about these growing up.

4.  Colored chalk ink pads.
5.  Rub ons for scrapbooking
6.   Soft yarn that I can dye myself.
7.   I can always use scrapbook paper/stamps/punches.
8.  Any size 16 inch Circular knitting needles
9.  A stylus.
10. Fabric (big polka dots, stripes, pinks, browns, turquoise, there are some examples on my wists).  Im just learning how to sew, so enough for a small purse/wallet.
11. Any old issues of Interweave Knits (I have a couple, PM me for details.)
12. Blocking board for my knitting.
13.  Drop spindle kit
