Grin Love the tutorial! I pulled out my scrap fleece and started making a bed for my dog right away since she has destroyed her store-bought bed! She's a very rambunctious year old puppy. I did not do the round pattern as suggested, I decided to try and make a rectangular bed. However, after getting halfway through the cutting I realized that the bed would be smaller than anticipated. I continued however to make the bed since I do have a smaller 6 year old Chihuahua. Once completed with the knot tying, I decided to stuff it with a used pillow from our house. It worked out perfectly! However, the BIG PUPPY wants the bed! HAHAHA! I'm going to have to work on it and make it larger---probably 2 pillows wide.

Yay for Boston Terriers!  I grew up with Bostons and pugs, they are great dogs.  Sadly I have no pets  Sad  but this bed looks soft and comfy for the 4 legged buddies out there.

For those of you wondering if this can be made for larger dogs, the answer is YES! Grin

I have two lab mixes that weigh about 65 pounds each and made the bed tonight. The tut is perfect and it is an easy project (and I NEVER craft anything). Picture of the bed and my Shiloh in it. It look him about 3.5 seconds to settle into it and he hasn't moved. LOVE THIS!!! Thank you.

Oh and for you large dog owners out there, I used the exact same rules, just used 2 yards of each fabric. It was about 60 inches across the round before I began cutting/tying. I used two 32 oz bags of poly fill. It wasn't quite as cheap as using remnants, but much cheaper and cuter than the beds at the big box stores!

(won't let me post photos yet, I was inspired to join just for this! So here are the links)

I made one there few days ago. see we got a new dog and he robbed the other dogs bed, so it's the other dogs birthday soon so I was going to buy him a new king bed, but then came across this site loving it.
Here's my first try and done it wrong.
and here's the next one much better.

Wow! This is perfect! I'm getting a miniature dachshund soon. She is four weeks old and I've been diligently gathering goodies to help her make a comfy transition when she is old enough to leave her mommy. I, too, noticed how expensive dog beds are and my other dachshund just chewed his original dog bed up. This will at least make a cost effective chew toy if she decides not to sleep on it Smiley thanks for the great instructions!!

I have been wanting to make this bed for quite sometime, but I ended up adapting it to fit my Hedgehog! I just used an old T-shirt since hedgies can get lazy and poop everywhere! But I intend on making more, and with some cool patterns!

I've just made two of those fleece blankets for christmas presents, and then I saw this. Adorable!! And the bed is cute too (:

Might have to make one of these myself, soon, although it'll have to be a bit bigger. Big puppy!
