I am trying to sew a rounded corner however my just wont work with me! I have a Jamone Machine. Every time i try turning the fabric the machine will not let me. i have to keep lifting up the foot but i dont get a great result and i just dont know how something so simple can be so hard!...

Am i missing something??? I hope someone can help because it is driving me mad!

My janome machine does the same thing. The easiest way to do this is with the needle in the down position and hand turn the knob that moves the needle. This way you can go nice and slow, get the curve you want, lift the presser foot and move the fabric, put it back down, and keep hand turning till you get through the curve. Then you can go back to using your pedal.
Also try going nice and slow on a practice piece of scrap first. Perhaps mark some lines on it with a sharpie and practice following to find out how to work your machine better?

I think the problem is the amount of pressure the presser foot puts on the fabric. So the little teeth on the feed-dogs get pretty deep in the fabric and you can't turn it!
At least thats how it seems to me.
