Wink Ok....so I finally finished my first project with dpns......and I HATE HATE HATE them!!!! Someone evil devised these as a means to make knitting slower and WAY more complicated than it has to be...and if I ever find that person, I will personally kick the absolute crap outta them! Angry UGH!!!
Ok, that being said, I LOVE these mittens! And since they are the smallest size (yea!!), they were super fast and used 5 & 7 dpns. And they actually match! Grin I also added the kittyville ears and kinda scrunched 'em up so they looked good. Yea me!! Made out of Malabrigo (what did I ever do without this uber fabulous yarn???!!)  - and yes they are SUPER pink and blue - they are for the dd. Although, both of the kiddies play with them. Now to make the gator ones for the boy......UGH!! Stoopid dpns.....if only I could make someone do the first 5 rows...... Tongue

aww those remind me of mitts my mum knit for me.. They were snoopy mittens and my mum cut a styrofoam ball in half for his head and upper mouth.  I think.. hey it was 1969 or 70!  I loved them so much..
your mittens look great!  Dont lose them or throw them away.. they are too cool!  Memories your kids may have forever.
 Well done!

You should learn the magic loop method! It's amazing, and way easier than DPNs. Of course, I learned it after I bought DPNs in every size from 1 to 11 in 9 and 5 inch lengths... (but they were only like 17 dollars plus shipping per set of all 12 sizes in each length)

I'm taking a break from swaps. :'(

I made these last year in the smallest size, too, but I modified the mouth part to be smaller. It seemed like there was too much mouth and not enough face. I LOVE yours!! So cute!
