I wasn't sure if there would be a lot of takers for patterns--you have to know how to be able to sew simple patterns, crochet, embroider and/or paint.  I know I couldn't make these on my own, especially the painting part, but if a lot of interest is shown I might try and work up something.

Interest is shown! interest is shown! Me me me! I generally can look at stuff and tell how it was made (within reason -- I just read a lot of craft books), and I coooooould do that with these, but you know, I'd still love, love, love to see patterns.

I'd understand why you wouldn't make up the patterns, too, because you could have legal problems from selling them as "LOTR" patterns (could sell them as a "fantasy adventure party," though), and they might be a lot of trouble to write up to give away for free. Maybe there could be some kind of compromise where the doll pattern is free and the clothes patterns are for sale.

Alright everybody, I added free crochet patterns for all of the characters on my blog!  Just go to www.geekcentralstation.blogspot.com to get the patterns.

It's my first crochet pattern that I've written out, so let me know if you guys see anything weird about it.  Like I said before, sometimes I follow this pattern and it turns out great, sometimes...not so much.  but that's probably more me (I hope) than the pattern.  Hope you guys enjoy!

I love the hair on Legolas. Very cute. I wonder if it would be hard to make golem?

See, I couldn't figure out how to make him.  Within the confines of the style I set up for these guys, I can't figure out how he would fit in!

I particularly love the look of the yarn you used for Legolas' hair. Looks like expensive stuff, because it's so shiny and looks so smoth.
Anway, the whole set is great. I love all the detail you put into it. Great work!

I'm in awe of your work. Both you and your boyfriend have done a fantastic job.
Seeing these I am now detedrmined to learn to crochet. My sister and I love LOTR and giving her one as a toy would be the greatest gift ever!!
