Here's what I sent my partner for the SNB swap:
It's the newsboy cap from SNB Nation.

It's actually a bit darker and greener in real life...

I was (eventually) quite pleased with it.  I may have to make one for myself.  Someone should have told me years ago that cables could be so easy!  Wink

I really like it!  I was sort of underwhelmed by the pics they had in SNB Nation, but yours looks way better (I think it's the colour, which I love)...it makes me want to make one myself.

yeah, I'm not so hot on purple, either.  My yarn is Malabrio worsted in Emerald (actually, it's a bit greener than the pictures show), two strands held together to make gauge.  The best thing about Malabrio is that it's kettle dyed, so there's a lot of variation in tone across the yarn.
