really needing feedback, guys. been doing custom orders for local diaper shop for a long time and had a request to do some lobster smocks and cropped pants (we live in coastal maine). i was hesitant because i've been very successful w/ these items and did not want to create something cheesy or touristy. i'm finally done with the order and feel that i've managed to maintain some integrity... what do you think? i did 3 of each, linen pants revrsing to cotton, cotton/cotton pants, linen/cotton smocks, cotton/cotton smocks.  they all have an applique of a lobster bot or w/ nautical fabric.
check them out here:

Here's a couple pics, more on my blog link above Smiley

I think they're cute. I'm not a lobster-y kinda gal, but I could totally see the attraction to them.

The dresses are great. I agree w/ you on the shortie dress/top-over-jeans versatality.

oh, i could'nt agree more about lobsters/nautical being tacky, but i figured if i was gonna do it i'd make them as cute as i could, ya know? i just hope i succeeded at that. they're more geared toward the summer clientelle. people looking for maine memorobilia and local goodies.

I think they are all gorgeous. I love the lobster pants- they look like a little chef's pair of pants.

You're super talented!

I think they are cute, not tacky at all because the lobster prints arent all over the place, you know? They are kind of toned-down I guess is what Im trying to say. I love the pants  Cheesy

we're originally from cape cod mass.(coastal) so i've surely had my fill of all things nautical and lobster-ish! i'm going to post a pic of a smock/pants set that i did that's completely reversible and completely not nautical. thanks for the positive comments...

Those are the classiest lobsters I've ever seen! Great looking outfits, too! It just makes me think of yummy crawdads, but I'm not from coastal anywhere.  Cheesy
