I've seen older posts having to do with knitting/crocheting in State College, is anyone still meeting? Is anyone into beading and/or sewing too? Making jewelry is what you can usually find me doing, and I've done a little bit of sewing though I have lots of room for improvement.  Grin

I'd bead that!

Well I know it was a while ago when you posted this, but I just moved to the area and am a dedicated crafter of any kind I get can my hands on!  I too am looking for folks to sit and knit/sew/bead/etc with!

Oh fun!  I live on campus, but it's a lonely life as far as crafting is concerned.  I can only draft my friends to paint and doodle for so long.
I know there's some kind of knitting group at the Schlow Library in town, and I would go if I knew that there was at least 1 other craftster  there... I'm kind of afraid to go alone because I am lame.
The Schlow website says "Knitting Group: January 5, 2009 6:30pm - 8:30pm. Repeats every Monday every 2 weeks until Mon May 25 2009."

So I guess I missed today, and the next one is February 2.  Unfortunately I have night rehearsals in February.  But I'll make it to one, one of these days.

Anyone up to meet at Websters and just shoot the breeze sometime?

PS.  Wow, you posted a long time ago.

So, is there crafting life in state college these days?

I live in Clearfield, and would love to meet some people to bead with, crochet, teach me to knit and generally meet.

I'm in Altoona and a huge crafter as well...I'd love to find any great stores, craft shows or just getting together with other crafters.
