Textiles, yarn, wool, metal, stuff...

So, I was working night shift this summer, and needed a project to keep me awake. I had a lot of yarn to be used up that was about the same thickness, so I thought I would try to make a blanket. I usually suck at big projects because I got tired of them halvway through, but this time I managed to make one square a night. (except some nights who were horrible) When I only had one square left to make, one of my friends insisted on me making a pear, he thought it fun for whatever reason.
The birdpattern I found in a knit. 1 magazine, but the bombs and the pear I've made myself...

And later on I made a frame in some kind of mohair I had in store...

It fits perfectly on my antique rocking chair.... Wink

Awwww..that is great...and your friend was right...the pear is awesome.

Grant me the strength, endurance, and focus to see it through.

that looks so good! I'm working on a similar pattern from knit1, with the bird and leaves alternating. I don't think I will ever finish  Undecided

Very cute blanket; the bombs and the random pear make it perfect.

Oh, it's just kittens.

I want to leave this world the way I came into it:  naked, screaming, and covered in someone else's blood.

I really like this blanket. It's not a pattern I'd have chosen myself (I'm more into granny squares) but this was cool.
Well done!
