I have been crocheting off and on since I was a child, but just started knitting at the end of February. Partially taught by a friend and partially taught by reading the Stitch N Bitch book. Here is my very first completed scarf. Obviously it's just garter stitch, but I am beaming with pride. Smiley I used size 10 needles and Bernat's Softee Chunky in Rustic Rouge.

Here's a close-up of the stitches:

I'm already addicted. Smiley

That is wonderful for a first project! Mine was wavy because of adding and dropping stitches!

Oh pleeeeeze tell me you frogged and re-did it many times. It is too hard to accept that this was a first try.

Smiley just kidding - nice job

Well, I didn't get through the whole thing without making any mistakes, that's for sure. But the yarn made it really easy to see them. That's also something I was trying to practice as well: seeing and fixing mistakes. Smiley

That's a very neat and even scarf. I'm impressed. Cheesy
