This is not so much reconstructed as reinvented, but here goes:

Years ago, these were my favorite jeans.  And then they started getting holes in them, and I decided that it was time for Drastic Measures.  And thus the painted pants were born....

They have various images from my own personal mythologies, favorite bits of literature and art, and assorted quotations in 5 different languages.  Mostly done in fabric pen and various fabric paints, but there's some sharpie and embroidery and a bit of machine stitching...

Kudo's on the Richard Bach quote. LOVED the jeans and sadly like so many wonderful projects on here I was just looking and going to pass by with thinking wonderful thoughts about it but not commenting. Then in the last picture I saw that quote on the bottom of the jeans and had to chime in. Smiley Really admire folks that wear their thoughts "on their sleeve" or legs whatever the case may be. Wonderful jeans, thank you for sharing.

Much Peace,

I have some pants that are strikingly similar, though not quite so cool.
I shall post pictures as soon as I get them.
