Ohhh yeah! Born and raised in Woonsocket, Rhode Island (the smallest state in the USA). I come from a city that was very important during the Industrial Revolution. It was once full of mills used for making textiles (most made cotton fabric). For my project, I crocheted a turkey vulture. I noticed a few years ago that turkey vultures were making my city their home and fell in love with them instantly! On a quiet day, you can hear their wings flapping in the air.

Here's a picture of a turkey vulture from 2005 that I took, not that good, but you can see the shape of it flying:

If it wasn't for turkey vultures, I wouldn't have met one of the nicest families in my neighborhood. One day I was outside looking at the turkey vultures and my upstairs neighbors at the time asked me to babysit their infant daughter for a minute so they could bring the carriage upstairs. From that moment on, we've been really great friends (over 6 yrs now!).
 Now for my entry...

He's my first crocheting pattern I made up 100% by myself! Thanks for looking!  Kiss Comments are much appreciated!

Oh that is fantastic! May sound silly, but I love turkey vultures. I was outside earlier today watching some feed on a dead raccoon and now here is your beauty. Love it!  Grin

Excellent vulture!  Very clever (and way more fun than trying to portray former textile factory buildings).
