I was working on the M4851 and a couple of other projects and the bobbin thread kept going loopy and I started going loopy (a couple of projects did a bit of flying) then I realized what the problems were for my machine: I needed to take the bottom off and clean the dust and the "fuzzies" out from underneath the feed dog area, and the machine's underside parts needed some greasing (I use Vaseline petroleum jelly). And then, after putting the bottom back on, I disassembled the top and oiled where it needed oiling. A needle change (a heavier duty needle, for heavy duty fabric: either a Leather Needle, or a Jeans Needle) and the loopiness stopped.
Some machines are like 4-year-olds: they blow fits to get a bit of T.L.C. Cheesy

wow.  you did a kick@$$ job on this.  my question is what did you use to bind the top edge?  just another length of webbing?  DH has picked up some webbing for me at the auto salvage yard and i've been jonesin' to make one of these puppies.  you've inspired me.

and i TOTALLY love your denim version, too.  it's all about the denim...my favorite fabric.  thanks so much for sharing with us.

Thanks!  In answer to your question, yep, I just used another length of the same webbing, folded over. It worked just fine.

The denim one has been used every day since I made it...until just recently that is. It's not big enough for me anymore since I have to carry around my daughter's EpiPen...turns out she's allergic to peanuts!  Shocked  So I'm totally gonna have to make myself one of these soon!!! :-)

That is awesome! Now I can make one for my mom without her going out and spending all that money on one.

Wow, you're looks awesome!! I saw one of these in person at the store the other day and while it looked cool, I could never spend that much money on a bag!  I may have to recreate it now.  Thanks for the inspiration!
