Ha! It's not about video games at all! I don't really understand why people get so excited about video game themed needlework. Anyway, I think these embroideries are really great...

This embroidery is based on an image from an instruction manual for a Caligraph typewriter, circa 1885. I've always loved this image. In the original there are two hands typing and the keys spell out the word "writing machine". I did this embroidery for a quilt block for a quilt that my girlfriend is working on. It is mostly worked in chainstitch.



And, here is an embroidery of the Indiana state flag that my girlfriend made for her quilt. she used satin stitch and chainstitch for this embroidery. Both of these embroideries are on squares of fabric that measure 6"x 6".

Those are excellent. Very nice satin stitch on the second piece is p-e-r-f-e-c-t! i love them both.
