Does anyone know if/what pattern this dress is..... i saw it on ebay, and she's a dressmaker, so it had to come from somewhere....right?  anyway here's the dress.

Looks like it would be found in the evening wear or costume wear chapters of the patternbooks. Have you looked at the online sites of Vogue/McCalls?

well, dressmakers do have their own patterns sometimes.  i wouldn't know where to find the actual pattern, but it looks like a ren fair type one. try costume patterns, or look up the  SCA - they do medieval renactments. i believe they have links to patterns and what not on there. 

and boy, if that isn't a photoshop image if i've ever seen one!
