I lived in a little house that was a converted farm outbuilding.  Most of it looked sufficiently cozy and housey, however, I still had an unfortunate exposed pipe right next to my front door.  Removing it meant I had no source of water for my flowers outside, so I decided to pretty it up a bit.

I think that shiny copper is incredibly pretty, so I brushed it with steal wool until it was bright and clean.  I affixed beads my aunt found for me at a garage sale, and bits of a bracelet a former beaus mother once gave me to it with wire.  I finished the top by hot gluing a pretty length of ribbon around it, gluing the wire in place underneath.  I attached small brass bells to the bottom.  They jingled when I turned the knob.

(By the by, I really wasn't dead sure where to post a beaded pipe. *chuckles* )

Totally ingenious!!!!!
From ugly to pretty with a little thought and effort.

I was off to save the world....until I was distracted by something shiny.
