Now why aren't you in the Pushing Daisies Swap? I wanted to knit one of these for my partner but I couldn't find a gun (toy or otherwise) to model it after :/ You did a great job on both projects. I love your kitty too, so pretty in that little scarf

  I thought about it, but talked myself out of it because I had no clue how much time it would take and I am a horrible procrastinator.

Goodnews though, I found my index card with my pattern I made on it (granted my pattern making skills are as yet untested by anyone but myself) and I should have it up by this weekend.

It takes less than a skein of lionbrand suede to make one, you could easily make 2 this size from one skein.

As a citizen of a country were hand gun ownership is illegal I find the idea of owning a such gun disturbing and the idea of knitting a cozy for it frankly bizarre.

if it makes you feel any better, I live in Texas and have many gunowning friends and family who find the fact that I knit a gun cozy bizarre.

For the record, I do not own a gun, the "gun" that is modeling the gun cozy is a spring powered airsoft toy gun that I borrowed for pics

That gun cozy is so hilarious!  I think I'd make one as a coin purse or something...please tell me you took notes in making the pattern?

Also, if it makes you feel any better this item was inspired by a very fun and not disturbing or violent television show and not just a thought of "I have a gun and it needs to stay warm as well as stylish. I'll knit it a cozy." So it's sort of meant to be bizarre. If it makes you feel any better. I live in Ca, USA and definitely do not own a gun and do not condone gun use or ownership (although I respect the choice of people who do [I just know I'd shoot my bf on accident or something if I had a gun in the house  ]) but I appreciate the humor in making a gun cozy.
