...and I need some ideas for places to go there! My step-mother has a conference in Houston the 25th-28th, and I'm tagging along. She says the conference stuff will finish up around 5 (maybe earlier), so I need to find things to do after that. I would love to find some great quilt or yarn shops to visit... She's an avid quilter and I crochet and knit.

Any other suggesstions (places to eat, things to see... I'm also a big history geek) would be very much appreciated!  Grin Thanks in advance!

I'm headed to Houston unexpectedly this week for a few days. It'll be my first trip there that will last for more than a few hours. I've had no time to do any serious research. I was hoping that someone would have some suggestions for me. I'm looking to visit some local independent craft stores while I'm there. I will have access to a car during the day. I'm interesting in rubber stamping/card making and knitting. So LSS and LYS suggestions would be much appreciated!

I just found this and I have to share for anyone now or in the future!!
There's a house that is made completely of beer cans. A man and his wife built it and when they passed, they donated it (i believe).

Live life with no regrets~!
