I recently lost a hat that had sentimental value to me after some idiot in Pizza Express threw it away... (it's a long horrible story  Sad)

anyway, i've looked everywhere on the internet and i can't find one like it.

It was dark purple, lined with fleece, and had little bobbles all over it and a stalk on the top, like a blackberry  Smiley
The restuaraunt said they would pay for a replacement, if i can find one, but it came from the Brimingham German Market in the UK which only comes every christmas.

Does anybody know of a site where somebody will sell these handmade berry hats?

Thank you

Sarah x

EDIT!!: After contacting the organisers of the market (Birmingham Council) and sending quite a few emails, I found the wedsite inspired-earth.com Although I don't think this is exactly the right store, it does sell these hats and lots of other goodies!! Thank you for your replies!

There are some hats on this site called blackberry hats:  http://www.susanrothschildart.com/photo_4.html

Here's one with a stem:  http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=100661&order=&section_id=&page=3

Maybe somebody here or on etsy can make one custom for you.  I would offer, but I'm fairly new to hats.  Good luck!

Thank you for the links

It would be great if i could find somebody who custom made them
this is what my hat looked like (it was a photograph for an art project which is why i'm posing  Wink)

It looks knitted to me, although I could be wrong.  It could be made by crochet also, but it would look a little different.  Try asking on the knitting board, hopefully someone can help.

I think it's crocheted, and it doesn't look too hard to make.  as kannd said, you could probably request a custom order from someone on etsy.

this hat uses the same stitches as the hat you want, so you could ask the seller about a custom order: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=6893471

here's a similar hat you could buy: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=9149268

otherwise, you could learn to crochet and this could be one of your first projects.  Seriously!  all you would need to learn is the single crochet stitch and bobble stitch.  Then use a pattern like this: http://members.aol.com/JSchlossma/csc.html but add in bobbles whenever.

RAAAARAH!

thank you Smiley

I'm certain it was crochet because i known how to knit, and close up it wasn't!

I'm currently talking with 'butterflydesign' on etsy, and hopefully she will be able to custom one for me
