it's been so long since I've sewed anything, but I'm really glad I did Smiley

When i saw my mom's drawer piled with knitting needles I knew something had to be done!! *i seriously had to tear the whole thing apart, there was so many needles and things she had been missing lol*  So i grabbed what I had available and got started!

I just kind of winged it after seeing other's "roll" cases here on craftster. I haven't sewn in forever, but I think it turned out good when she saw what i had made Smiley

Here's the whole thing laid out. The outside fabric is actually a thick fabric for another project from years ago (that obviously wasn't done). The inside fabric was supposed to be used for a skirt originally, and its really nice because it has a sparkle/glitter to it you cant notice much in the pictures.

The yarn stitching probably looks a bit odd, but I honestly thought the thread wouldn't stay when i first started hemming the pieces. So i used the yarn, knowing it would be thick enough to do the job. I eventually figured out it was the needle that was causing trouble, so i used normal thread for the sides, but i kind of liked the look of the yarn so i use it again when i had to make the pockets. Cheesy Even though the pockets aren't even LOL but they're about 2-2.3in wide each. (Except the one on the far left for extra stuff, it's about 4in)

Lay the flap down to keep them all cozy! I actually intended for it to reach the pocket, but there were some knitting needles that were taller than expected! whoops D: but it still does it's job well~ *I need to add something so it stays down better though. since it crunches up sometimes when rolling*

Rolling action shot!!! Grin

All nice and cozy <3

I wasn't sure how to close it, but after seeing some other rolling cases again I realize where i can add the second ribbon to tie it up =D

It was a ton of fun to make, and I was really happy when my mom saw it and now she can't lose her stuff anymore! Yay~ Wink
