UPDATE: Now with tutorial! It's long and has lots of photos, so I'll link to it on my blog instead of posting it all here: http://www.planetjune.com/blog/shrink-plastic-ring-tutorial/

I had the idea to make rings from strips of shrinky dinks, rubber stamped. The rubber stamps are only 3/8" long to start with, so the pattern on the finished rings is very delicate:

I think they look really pretty. I'm thinking of making some other matching jewellery. Earrings, maybe a charm bracelet or a pendant for a necklace - I haven't decided yet!

Aww!! These are so cute and yet elegant!
Are the ends connected? (just kidding.  I looked really close and solved it myself.  Cheesy

Also, how big was the strip before you baked them?

I would love to try this with my oodles of stamps I just have laying around that I pursuaded my mom to buy me.

These don't even really look like shrinky dinks.  I love them, and would definately wear one all the time!!  Great job!

I never thought about making rings out of shrinky dink. They turned out so well. It would go great with a matching set of earring or necklace with a charm to match.

I'm a crafty kid. I just can't help myself.

Love this. I would also like to know when you bent the plastic.

Very innovative and cool. Totally Amelie Smiley
