ok so years ago I wanted a doll house for my dolls.  Yes I am an adult, and I thought they should have an adult house too so I worked a very long time (don't really want to think how long it took me but we'll get to that, lol)

Shortly after I completed my apartment/livingroom for them we moved 2000 miles across the country, and the movers destroyed my grown up doll house.  The dolls that 'lived here' are around 16 inches tall (roughly 42cm for the rest of the world)

I didn't even think we had photos of my project anymore but I was looking for photos on my husband's old computer and found these photos buried in there.  I saw others in there too but didn't get them all moved to my thumb drive, hoping I can find the others again.

I made the 'room' itsself, the shelves, all the contents of the shelves (minus the rabbit) I made the sofa & chaise, and the magazines, the curtains, etc... Anyway it's something i was very proud of even if it died too soon lol.  If I find the other photos I'll post a few of those too Smiley

All I can say is WOW. When I saw the first photo, I thought you were going to say this was your living room and this is the shelf you put the dollhouse in. I'm completely amazed!

Wow, when I saw the preview picture, I thought it was a real livingroom, too!  I especially love the tiny DVDs.

That is absolutely amazing! Were you able to salvage anything?

It's gorgeous!

Wow!! Before reading your post, I saw the first picture and was wondering where the doll house was!! Nicely done! I am sorry that it was destroyed. Do you plan to rebuild?

You can be more than proud of that, you can positively rave about your extreme talents!!  I was just browsing through the recent additions and I don't always read the thread topics.  I seriously thought this was another room redecorating thread...until I saw the doll!!!  I did a double-take, scrolled back up to look at the title and then FREAKED out!  The DVDs are perfect! Aw heck, everything is perfect!  You so totally rock!!

Thank you everyone Smiley  It was such fun for me to do and I really love 'real' details in things, I find it most fun when I can create something tiny and convince someone it is not lol.

I was able to salvage some of the prop parts, the house itself was actually 3 rooms, one very large one that was a miniature 'nightclub' and then 2 apartment rooms upstairs, the entire house sat about 5 1/2 feet tall, 2 1/2 feet deep and 8 feet wide.  I'm hoping there are photos of the other parts of the house on his computer too.

As for rebuilding, I want to build a bigger one for the BJD dolls I collect (which are all mostly 2 feet tall or taller), but it'd need to be closer to 6 1/2 feet by 4 feet by 11 feet to work out at 2 stories tall.  I'm not sure the hubby will allow me to get away with that, But I have been collecting and making props for them as well in the hopes of doing something similar for them 'someday' lol.
