I went to IKEA and got their little $3 mirror last semester because I had to do a creative project for my nursing class.
Here is the mirror after I attacked it with modge podge, markers and paper:

Here's the mirror again with another face after I ripped off the above decorative edge.  This time I put pictures from my fine arts class and a quote that I love:
(The quote is hard to read but it says "The real act of discovery is not in finding new lands, but in seeing with new eyes" - Marcel Proust)

Those are great.  They would make great personal gifts to friends or to a teacher!

Those are both gorgeous!!  I do art work with children who have witnessed all degrees of family violence, and I have been looking for a project that would help them "see" themselves in a positive way.

This is perfect!!

I love that!  I think this is the first craftster post I've seen with Bible verses on it!  Great job!  Remembering how God sees you is always an amazing ane empowering thing!  Smiley

both are excellent - I hope you got a good grade in the nursing class for the first version as it really seems like an excellent idea for an ill person...

I'm old enough that I have an assortment of old compacts with mirrors that I just couldn't throw away, even though the face powder is long gone. This would be a good use for them, maybe even incorporating their cases into the design.

I loved the Bible verses, too, and their presentation.

A nice variety, Proust and Matthew. Haha, I like it. Way too go, future nurse!

wow, how clever.
I go to ikea often (well i just love it soo!) and always see these mirrors and find them quite plain...but always think of only painting the frame one color, which does not excite me much...but this is great!
good idea and great work!
