hi guys... this is my first time posting in this section of the board. i just started with my drop spindle on monday. i'm not good at thinking of creative names for my yarn like all of you.... here's my first attempt:

it is disgustingly purple in real life... it's the roving that came with my spindle and she didn't have much of a color selection. it varies from worsted to super bulky... since i kind of sucked at it... but it's workable yarn so i'm happy enough with my first time.
second attempt, still a WIP:

merino dyed by a friend from my knitting group. it's really thin and a lot more even than attempt number 1... i guess i am getting better.

i'm yelley on ravelry... be my friend ^_^

Lufah you are a spinning goddess!  I love all of your new textured yarns.

I spun some more manley yarn to match the skein I made a couple of weeks ago.  Apparently my gauge issues have followed me from my knitting to my spinning.  The skein at top of the pic is bulkier than the other three.  There are 619 yrs total.  I am hoping there is enough to knit a sweater vest for my DS.

Next is some more Christmas yarn.  I am envisioning everyone in my family with new hats next year!  I plan to spin a lot of these yarns in the near future, they are so much fun.  I would like to get a bunch done to have ready for a fiber show I will be doing in the fall.  This one is 199 yrds.

happy friday! My fave so far is Anenomes!!

This is called Freakout:

I agree that it would be great to have a regular thread to show off FOs made from our handspun. I actually haven't made anything with mine yet! But I just got the book Intertwined by Lexi Boeger yesterday, so I'm super inspired!!!! I love this book!

Hey all,

Once again, everyone's yarn is gorgous. My fav is Commander Fuzzbomb and Candy Colored Clown. I love the look of yarns that are spun from random fiber batts! This week I've been spinning snow white corridale...nothing special so I didn't bother taking a photo. I'm spinning the yarn to make this - http://knitty.com/ISSUEfall05/PATTyorick.html. It will be for my brother for his bday. I'll post a photo when I'm done

Happy Spinning.

I usually spin for a project to avoid this problem.  Those I've spun just to spin them up tend to end up just sitting around.
