I like this idea a lot too but i probably won't be done with my first swap before it goes... grrr =p If i don't get to get in on this i so want a round 2!

Would the book have to be a new copy? I just checked my favorite (favorite that isn't Harry Potter any ways as im sure most people have read that already) on Amazon and its $13 0_o

I would totally be cool with getting a used book- I get most of my books from second hand stores or the annual library sale any way.

I'm interested, always looking for a good new read and crafting from your favourite book is inspirational!  Cheesy

This would be MAJORly fun, but which book would you choose?!? I think I'd have to craft one of the less well known of my favourite books but that still leaves a heck of a lot to choose from...

Mmm, I was thinking about that problem last night, what if your favourite book is Harry Potter? A lot of people would have already read it... I guess it'd just have to be 'one of' your lesser known favourites... you could look at the tastes of your partner before you decided...

Maybe instead of crafting your favorite book, you would recomend a book that you liked based on the intrests of your partner (i.e books, themes, genres they like) and craft from that. That way you would be sending a book they haven't read but that they would really like based on their likes and dislikes.
Does that make sense? My brain is not functioning right now- I just got done with a fairly intense 3 hour meeting at work.

What if you DO send them a book they've already read? =0

mmmm... it's a problem, because you can't make a list of everything you've read!! Maybe you could send a list of suggestions and then your 'swapee' gets to choose one? Although that spoils the surprise...  Undecided

Oooh ok, how about everybody sends in a list of 10 of their favourite books then the swap coordinator post the list of books alphabetically so nobody knows who's is who's. Then every person has to pick ten books from the list that they haven't read and then the coordinator can match up one of their books and send the info on.
Ok, that sounds really complicated but it works in my head...
