You commented on my first post, so I'll comment on yours! ^____^

I'm insanely jealous of your multicolor tutu! I really want to make a tutu/petticoat, but I am to lazy to do sooooooooo. XD  Hope you have lotsa fun at the rave, and get lotsa compliments!

And I think a black corset would go nice with this. Then just wear rainbow jewelry, etc. Anyways, have fun!!!!  Smiley

That's really cute.

If I were you I'd go with the tank top. Corsets can get really uncomfortable to dance in after a few hours. Of course, a lace-up corsetISH tank could be comfy and still have the look of a corset.

Love love!!  It looks amazing!! (I'd love a tute XD)  I think Id wear a tank that had the lacing up the back and maybe foux boning or something like that.  I've worn a corset to a rave before and it got so uncomfortable that I had to go out to my car and change half way through!  Good thing I had a change of clothes, no?

you may want to add 2 skinny straps-because the tshirt material keeps stretching throughout the night.  It will fall down while dancing.  Just advice from my embarrassing experience with tshirt corset dancing. Grin ---Oh and the tutu is so cute!

LOVE IT!
I made a tutu almost exactly like this (my individual rainbow strips were a bit wider) and I think it was my parents ultimate most hated piece of clothing I wore (Apparently it was a little over the top for them).
I made it to wear for my first concert like 5 years ago!

You will seriously have so much fun! tutus are the best to dance in!

Oh man, I think I'm going to have to make something like that to wear to Bonnaroo this year!  It would look sooo awesome...and if I wore it over my bikini bottoms it seems like it would be nice and cool.  As long as it didn't end up being too itchy or anything...

How many strips did you use?  I know the general idea is to knot them around the elastic waistband, but I'm trying to figure out exactly how you did it cuz it looks so great.

what i did is i got a yard of every color
plus i found some white.
cut it maybe into 2 inch strips
tied it on
and then sewed them so they wont move around.

so while i was taking pictures this monster crept up on me and found herself a new toy.

last but not least the famous rave shoes
my turquoise  blueee conveerse.

The skirt is absolutely beautiful!  And halter top = good choice.  Corsets are fabulous for about...two hours of dancing.  Six hours later?  Not so much.

im hearing tons about a tut

there really is nothing to it.
i dont have time to do a full on tut.
but heres the short version :]

figuring out how much tulle you'll need is the hardest part
i got a yard of 7 colors
pluss another yard of this rainbowy mesh.

note. i have big hips.
lol
it really matters on how puffy you like your tutus.
all i did was cut the strips in 2 inch strips and tied them down the the elastic and sewed over that to keep it in place
(i learned that if you dont sew it down it moves around waaay to much.)

and thats it.

im sorry i cant make a proper tut.
but if you have any questions feel free to messege me.
