hey just made this and i couldnt wait to show it

i found both the leather cut offs and the gold/brown material at a thrift store and instantly the image of a bag with wooden handles and wood feet came into my head.... unfortunalty i havent been able to get hold of the feet but i will be keeping my eye open and adding them at a later date

the before

the after

the inside

the bottom

its looks a bit ruffled at the bottom in this pic ... its not really... its just the base not being in properly

as an after thought i think i should have put interfacing on the inside to make it stiffer so its not so saggy.... but then again i havent actually sewn the base in properly so i could still do that.....

where do i get freezer paper from??? im in the UK so does it have another name??? please help me!!!!

i agree i think the interfacing would make it stiffer and it would look great too. i like that purse and would love to see the feet on it when you get them!!

V. nice!  I love the fabric.  It's totally something I'd pick.  You did good.

Interfacing probably is a good idea.  I'm amazed at what interfacing does for a project.  Still, it's very pretty.

I totally stole that from your wist!!  Thank you! Cheesy
