Here's a baby shower gift for a relative, blue booties.  I used the pattern from snbn.  and then dropped the strap, and instead crocheted around the outside, decreased on the last row, to hopefully keep them on.

i used some yarn from my mother-in-laws stash....i'm thinking that the blue was like red heartweight, and the varigated blue and whites were like jamie weight.

I love them, they're beautiful!  If you're worried they won't stay on you could crochet a chain in the verigated or lt. blue and weave it around the top and then tie it loosely.  That way they'll stay on a bit better.  I know from my 2 that the little ones do tend to kick them off  Smiley
