I'm so lucky!!!  Got my package from the awesome Anya Kase yesterday...

Everything was very prettily wrapped with black glittery paper (overexposed pic, oops)

All of the awesomeness:

Including dark chocolate (which is not long for this world, mwa-ha-ha), playing cards from a recent trip she took, her favorite tea (chai -- YUM), really pretty Indian temporary tattoos, a pretty bindi (noticing an Indian theme?  Cheesy ), a CD from a local radio station, purfume (smells super sexy), a bumper sticker from a local band, a Dr. Who book, fabric in all of my favorite colors!, felt to add to my stash (in pretty earth tones), AWESOME orange & pink arm warmers, embroidery floss cards (that she made -- can't have enough of those!)...

Detail of the fabric and stationary...  She sent a huge package of cards and envelopes in all of my favorite colors:

And the CUTEST COIN PURSE EVER!  Anya Kase and I share a love of embroidery (and sushi)... The reverse side is embroidered with "I (heart) sushi", you can see the other side on the big picture with all of the items above.

And obligatory action shot with my favorite item -- the orange arm warmers with pink ribbons. So pretty, and yet somehow, I feel like such a rockin' badass when I wear 'em.

Thanks, Anya Kase!

The boyf and I are quite the fan of sweets that other people don't consider sweets. Cinnamon flavoured stuff and licorice - especially double salt licorice.

I thought I was the only one that likes that stuff! I'm half dutch and I love drop (if that is what you are talking about...) everyone I know that I talked into trying it hates it. My 11 year old nephew even said "that candy can go to hell". I considered putting some in squirrlegirls package but I didn't want her to hate me.  Wink
The boyf's mother and her family are all Dutchies. Tomorrow night he's bringing around some gestampte muisjes for me to put on my bread, and we might also duck down the street to get some spekkulaas. (I have no idea of how to spell it). Yup yup yup.

all this talk of sweets is making me crave saltwater taffy, I havent had any in like 10 years! they dont sell it around here.  Cry

For serious? They sell it up here. Like... 7 blocks away at the Gordy's County Market. How odd! Maybe I'll mail you some, 'Sconie-to-'sconie.

Anything I can reach I do myself.

Received my package from porfavoray today!  Grin

Here is what she sent:

Postcards, a CD, Christmas spice soap, a tiny little watercolour set for the crafty attacks during a travel  Wink, hair things (how do you call them?), three cute hello kitty pencils, her favourite roller pen, a journal, artichoke dip, her favourite book, a very good smelling body lotion, buttons (with Peter Rabbit on them and other animals!) and my favourite: postcards with old black white photographs of women! How did she know that I love old black-white photographs? This is really a nice swap package.

And of course there is the letter, I feel really bad now because she has written such a long, detailed letter and I just wrote a bit about the items I send... Well, writing in English is hard if you're not English...

I am the luckiest girl in the world!  My partner and new friend, Amy Jo (Lootyaj), sent the best package ever~and without further adieu...

Here's everything all together (Wow, isn't this just awesome)

This next pic shows the letter, postcards, stationary items, (all in some of my favorite colors--brown-teal-pink) and a business card from her sister-in-law's tattoo gallery (cool).

Here's Amy Jo's faves minus the Chilli Cheese flavored Fritos and the Reese's which are in my tummy now~some pretty yarn, Caramel Truffle coffee that I can't wait to try, and her 3 favorite recipes (Rob and I  LOVE LOVE LOVE mango salsa, how did you know I needed a recipe?)

Here comes the best part...wait for it...

She knitted a set of Pac Man dishcloths!!!  These are so great; I love love LOVE these!!!  There was another one, but her new puppy, Leo, destroyed the orange ghost and her knitting needles Sad"BAD Dog"!) You can see the remains on her blog at
<a href=" http://dextermom.blogspot.com/"><b>Dextermom</b></a>.

Next, she handpainted a precious little box in a beautiful blue with brown leaves and blue flowers (it makes me think of cat's tail for some reason) (Just adorable), made some cute little stitch markers, AND crocheted the most beautiful fan bookmark that I've ever seen!!!  This girl is talented, let me tell ya!

She also sent a cd with some great pictures.

It makes me so happy that somebody took the time to figure out from my questionaire all of my favorites and sent them to me just because she wants to be my friend.  This is my first swap, and Mrs. Amy Jo has spoiled me!  What a teriffic friend!  Thank you so much!!! Grin Grin Grin

I am inspired by those Pacman dishcloths! I'm just starting my second knitting project ever, but I may want to make something like that later! (Lootyaj: Did you get that from a pattern somewhere, or did they just come from your head?
