Months of pestering every friend I knew who was having his or her wisdom teeth removed have finally paid off.  My wonderfully indulgent roller derby GM granted my undeniably odd request and, not content to keep all my dead stuff at home, I made myself some new earrings Smiley

32 gauge silver wire, faux-pearl beads, and two wisdom teeth.  I soaked the teethses overnight in a 1:1 bleach/water solution to remove any tissue and decay to make them look nice and white (and because she doesn't want anyone to know she ever had cavities).

Darn! I had my wisdom teeth out about 2 years ago. I NEVER would have thought to use them for anything! Very creative.

They never gave me my teeth, nor asked me if I wanted them...They just sent me home dazed and confused.

Aww, this made me wish I never threw mine out.
My cats decided they were toys and I couldn't think of anything to do with them.
Damn!
They look awesome!

this is neat.

Isn't it weird to wear someone elses teeth though?

I mean, it's different when they are your own teeth, but someone elses? Maybe I'm just too traditional?

You probably have a better grip on social norms than I do Smiley  Yeah, it's probably pretty weird to wear someone else's teeth, but it's no weirder than asking her for them in the first place.  I've come to terms with it.
