I have seen a few (very cool!) offbeat projects here such as the knitted womb and the chicken viking hat and I thought it would be a cool Idea to put some of them in one place...So..If you have a finished project or a link to a pattern for an atypical knitting project please post it here!

Most of these are pretty odd:

Those are hilarious!  I don't know which I like more:  the tampon socks or the "I am a Spoon" fork!

These are interesting to  look at, but, with the exception of the plastic fish holding sweater, they don't seem very practical to me.

WOW.  I have a great big crush on Felieke van der Leest all of a sudden...

How about the Boobie Scarf from the Knitty Fall '04 Surprise?

I'm with you ookpik, i love the pipi longstocking hat.  I also like the headless orb-creatures. both are crochet.

After reading this thread and seeing the Chicken Viking Hat, I was struck with an inspiration.  People have been asking me if they can sell Wombs made from my pattern for fundraising, and I have been saying no.  The pattern was published by Knitty and I'm going to respect that.  However: I could write a pattern for a Womb Hat, with fallopian tube "horns" and earflaps (just to have earflaps).  Awesomely weird, or just too much?  You can leave a comment on my blog.

Thanks for the Felieke link.  I love the crocheted charm bracelets in her earlier work (http://www.feliekevanderleest.com/gallery/galerie_nl.html)!
