i freaking love this purse, i have been waiting for this pattern for months. (pattern: http://www.studiokatdesigns.com/trifecta.htm )

i couldn't be bothered with pockets and interfacing, so i skipped all of that, maybe on the next bag i'll follow directions .... not very likely  Grin

ETA: this bag is a MONSTER! it can be stuffed without seeing an end in sight. I was able to fit inside: notebook, umbrella, giant wallet, Treo smart phone, pens, lipstick, gum, keys, hat, gloves. AND IT STILL HAD ROOM! but this bag is actually quiet small, about the size of a notebook.

I have a bag I bought from fashion bug that is made like this one, and I have sat and looked at the bag and wonder just how I could make one like it, and well here it is you did it! and done a great job with it!!! I'm wondering now, will you be posting a tute for it? if not then that's ok but the one thing I get stuck when trying to draft a pattern for this type of bag is joining the 3 "pocket's" without it looking "toooo" handmade. so pleassssssssssse post a tute!?!?!?!?!?!?

you know, i started looking at this purse and I was like, that's really cool. i like the shape and the fabric and then BAM! I saw that 3rd pic and the Trifecta was complete....thats freakin awesome how it opens up like that! I am going to have to attempt that pattern. was the zipper hard? I have never installed a zipper on a curve before. Looks like you did an awesome job tho!

Thanks for posting the pattern link.

I have been salivating over that bag for along time - the pattern that is - and I was so tickled to hear it was released early - but I haven't gone and bought the pattern yet Shocked
I guess I am now terrified -

How hard was it?
I have only made tote bags before and zippered pouches - can someone like me make it?  I am good at following GOOD directions... poorly written directions confuse me.  Cheesy

I have been dying to get this bag started but have really been hesitant now.  The desgner emailed me back (I asked the same question of her) she said to just take it step by step and I should be okay to make one.... but then she IS trying to get a sale, right?  So I am so glad that you posted up your bag!!

I am collecting quilts, afghans & blankets for those that lost their homes.  Pm me!
